Project 8

Djibouti, East Africa

March to October 2014

Two Accident and Emergency Ambulances were shipped out to East Africa for the Nomad charity and set to work at the City Hospital.

They were sent full of medical supplies and included monitoring equipment and a defibrillator in each vehicle. New batteries were paid for by two of our good friends, Mary and Andy Harrison.

They sourced the expensive, high output batteries from as far away as Arizona! The batteries and fully charged defibrillators will be able to save many lives in their new homes. Thank you very much to you both.

On this occasion, due to a serious back injury, Mark was not able to fulfill his usual role of travelling out to handover the vehicles and aid with training.
